What is Phenergan? Also known as promethazine, Phenergan is a drug from the group known as Phenothiazines. It functions by altering actions of chemicals inside your brain. It acts as an antihistamine too. Phenergan blocks the consequences of the naturally forming chemical histamine in a human body. What Is Phenergan Used For?

Phenergan is prescribed to treat symptoms caused by allergies such as runny nose, watery or itchy eyes, sneezing, itching, itchy skin rashes, hives, and so on.

Not meant for children below 2 years old: You should not give Phenergan to the children younger than 2 years old.
